Noor Aldeen Portfolio, a Custom WordPress Theme Built from Scratch
Noor Al-Din Salama, a professional designer, created a simple one-page PDF CV with a minimal composition that reflects his personal design taste. I analyzed that direction and designed and built a fully custom WordPress portfolio theme from scratch around his preferences. The website remains under active development.

Problem
A professional designer had a personal PDF CV that expressed his taste and simplicity, but he did not have a flexible portfolio system to present projects, publish articles, and manage content. Ready-made WordPress templates did not match how he wanted to showcase his work.
My role
Requirements analysis, interpretation of the designer's taste from his PDF CV, user experience design, full page and layout design, content architecture, custom WordPress theme development, templates and components, project and article management, responsive behavior, performance, testing, and deployment.
- Portfolio requirements analysis and interpretation of the designer's PDF CV direction
- Translation of his personal design taste into a complete website concept
- Full user experience and page layout design
- Portfolio structure and project presentation system design
- Article, category, and page content architecture
- Custom WordPress theme development with all required templates and components
- Flexible project, article, and category management
- Responsive behavior, interactions, motion, and performance tuning
- WordPress administration usability, testing, and deployment
Solution
I studied the visual cues and simplicity in his PDF CV to understand his design taste, then designed and built the entire website experience and WordPress theme from scratch around that direction. The portfolio system continues to grow while the site remains in development.
Implemented scope
- Fully custom WordPress theme built from scratch, not a modified off-the-shelf template
- Theme direction shaped from the designer's simple PDF CV and personal taste
- Project portfolio pages with flexible presentation structure
- Article, category, and page management structure
- Responsive layouts, interactions, and performance-focused theme architecture
Planned scope
- Continued website build-out and content expansion
- Final polish across portfolio, article, and category presentation
- Production launch after remaining development milestones
